Watch out world!!  An amazing Senior is about to graduate!  The first time meeting this family was the day of the shoot & yet, I was already proud of this young man…I mean, anyone who knows a little about Boy Scouts, knows the work, dedication, commitment level, character and drive it takes to be an Eagle Scout.  Talk about an accomplishment!   Needless to say, I knew JUST the location , as I had used it not too long ago for my daughter during a Native American inspired photoshoot.  It was perfect!

What I just loved about this shoot, above all, was the emotion.  You could just sense the pride they had for their son.  It was beautiful.  THAT’S what makes images speak to you~the emotion.  Mom definitely feels the bittersweetness of her baby leaving home.  As a mother of 2 sons, as much as I could only hope they would be as dedicated as this young man, I am far from ready to have them leave the nest.  I could only imagine the feelings of hope, joy, pride, angst, vulnerability, and  happiness she is experiencing.  I am honored that they trusted me with these moments in celebrating their son’s achievements.

Oh! …and not to mention, their sweet girl~talk about a natural for the camera…I seriously hardly had to direct her in front of the camera.  SO fun!  I’m sure you photographers know how inspiring it is when your model has that ability to have fun with the photoshoot!  Good times 🙂

..and of course, as always, I make sure to steal away Mom & Dad for a few moments of their own.  As I always say, it started with them.  You would be surprised how many couples tell me that their last photos together were at their wedding!  No joke!  It’s my favorite part of every shoot~I have even developed a certain “technique” that I use in photographing couples.  So, whether it’s posted or not, you can be sure that I took a few of just Mom & Dad 😉  IT’s a beautiful thing! <3  Enjoy!
