Forty and {Forever} | Southern Maryland Family Photographer
July 16, 2013
Often I wonder what it would be like when my husband & I have been married for over 40 years and we have grown children of our own. Will they like each other? Will they want to come home to visit us? Will they crave a family of their own? Obviously, only time can answer these questions for me. However, after this Photoshoot for a beautiful family of 10 who were celebrating their parents 40 year Anniversary, I was encouraged. The bond between their three children was wonderfully comedic and full of loving energy. They were nothing short of great examples for the generations to come of what a bond between siblings looks like~pure fun and full of happiness. Once I was able to steal the couple of the hour away, it was evident that their children learned relationship from their parents. Perfection. Their love story was something out of the movies and so it remains. Something tells me that the only thing which has changed from 40 years ago to now, is their love which has grown to produce a couple of generations. It made me realize that the love between my husband and I is real and if we are any resemblance of the family you’re about to see, then we have succeeded. Unfortunately, they were not only celebrating their 40 years together, but were celebrating their last day all together for a little while, as their daughter was having to leave for a period of time the next day….It doesn’t matter who you are, having to say “See you later…much later..” to your child is never a happy time. Regardless of what awaits them…they aren’t under your wing 😉 Well, without further adieu….Enjoy! 🙂
Thank you, J Family, for not only trusting me with these most precious moments, but for a wonderful time full of great memories! ~Cat xx
