Oh my goodness when I got the call from this couple wanting maternity photos in a retro theme, I was so excited!  They are the cutest couple and then add the “retro” vibe and yeah, they’re too cute for words.  Ok, so maybe that’s a stretch for me~as I’m hardly speechless. 😉 ha!  Seriously, though, when she walked up in those heels I may or may not have had shoe envy.  Not to mention the dress!  There was no way…in any of my trimesters…I would have fit into anything as adorable as that polka-dotted dress. ..aaaand that’s the reason why I made this tule skirt adjustable, ladies.  I wanted to be sure that pregnancies of all shapes and sizes could use it.  Yep, I get it.

Well, after a few phone consults, we knew exactly the look we were going for.  If only the weather wasn’t so fickle.  The day before was beautiful.  In fact, I had a few shoots and was so happy about the sun peeking it’s warm self out from behind the clouds….but, when it came to this shoot…yep, the one where we planned to show-off the bump,…. it was nothing but freezing!  So, I would like to take this moment and give this momma a HUGE “shout out” in braving the freezing conditions…despite how many times her hunny and I kept asking her if she needed a break.  She’s seriously a rock star. I am so grateful to have met this couple.  The love they share between them is beautiful and real.  I’m super excited for them and this new chapter in their story.  Welcome to the world, Baby D!
