It was a perfect day. Right in the middle of this crazy winter weather we’ve been having on this East Coast, it was perfect.  I received a phone call from Claire’s mom and she was so excited to book this session for her daughter and had a sneaky plan that she was requesting my help on.  She was surprising her daughter with a baby shower and this session was her distraction.  So, when asked if I could help, I was all in!  I mean, it’s not every day I get the opportunity to be involved in a covert operation.  That’s right.  Just call me “S.A.L.T”…move over Angelina Jolie!  *ahem* ok, back to reality.  Sigh.  Needless to say, I thought it was so sweet of her mom to try and surprise her daughter.  So, there I was trying to conjure up some crazy reason as to why she HAD to have her maternity session on a particular date AND time.  yeaaaah…I definitely sounded like the crazy photographer lady to Claire.  haha!!

Needless to say, we pulled it off!  (Special thanks to my assistant aka daughter for her sneaky skills in decorating their car with window paint. haha!  We make a good team!)   It was so great meeting this couple and so much fun capturing these moments.  As soon as I saw Claire, I new that the color of fabric we chose was perfect, but what I didn’t know was that she is a pure natural.  The way she looked at the camera, the way she moved when the wind blew, she glowed.  Seeing these two together was adorable!  They were so playful.  I couldn’t stop laughing.  I love it when the guys come out of their shel. It usually happens within 20 minutes of the shoot…and when it does, it’s epic.  The images I have of Dads, Husbands, & Fiances being “comfortable” in front of the camera is a post of it’s own, and it’s hilariously perfect.  Just scroll to the bottom to see a taste..but first, take a moment and soak in a few images of a glowing momma…and feel the wind…
