It couldn’t have been ANY prettier! With rain in the forecast, we weren’t sure what this day would hold and you better believe I wasn’t going to check my weather app until the day before because in my years of shooting  there is one thing I have realized about Virginia & Maryland’s weather; it’s consistent at being inconsistent. ha! Can I just say how thankful I am that the weather turned out to be AMAZING and to top it all off, the location was even more AMAZING!!! (yes, amazing required all caps, here)  It was so much fun getting to know Laura and Tyler a little better. They are definitely adorable together. Capturing their sweet moments was a breeze. Also, Mount Vernon?!? We were slightly sad to find out that the front of the home was under construction and covered in scaffolding, but we certainly managed to make the best of the back of the house~and between the beautiful gardens, historical buildings, and the water, this location is definitely a do-over for portraits! Not to mention, Tyler is a history buff and knows pretty much anything you want to know about all of our presidents. He made our visit to George Washington’s home even more interesting with the tokens of info he had and considering my husband shares the same love and appreciation for our nation’s history, you know I was all about it. I’m not sure about you, but I didn’t grow up with a real craving to know or learn about American History, but my interest grew when I met my husband. Now, I find it to be so interesting! So, yeah, I might be slightly geeking out about shooting their wedding in just a few months at Mount Vernon! GAH!! Bring me all the glorious historical backdrops!!! Oh, and after we were done with Mount Vernon (just kidding, who can ever be done photographing there??) we headed to the Mill down the street to get a few more and it did not disappoint! Im so glad they had suggested it! Well, without further delay, as I could go on and on about this shoot~here are just a few from their gallery!
